OUR CAMPAIGN
The Board of Trustees of the USET Foundation has embarked on an ambitious fundraising program in an effort to support our athletes in the four-year quadrennial period between Olympics. The Campaign to Achieve Competitive Excellence has begun with a goal to raise $20 million.
These funds are dedicated to prepare our Teams, horses and athletes for success at the World Championships, the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and other major annual international competitions such as the Samsung Show Jumping Super League series, World Cup Finals for Dressage and Show Jumping, Eventing competitions at the CCI**** level and the FEI World Reining Masters Final.
It is only through Campaign commitments that we can assure resources are in place to implement comprehensive international programs and secure every competitive advantage as we head for Beijing and the 2008 Olympic Games. This Campaign is designed to build upon recent achievements of our equestrian teams and will seek commitments of $25,000 and higher to be paid over a four-year period. These contributions will help support the seven High Performance disciplines by:
-
Providing the means to fully implement a comprehensive USEF High Performance Strategic Plan;
-
Increasing the number of competition and training grants, thereby providing opportunities for our Elite and Developing athletes to compete against their peers internationally;
-
Expanding the Developing/Young Rider programs to give our rising stars the chance to gain confidence and invaluable experience as a member of a "team" and to prepare the next generation of representatives for the United States equestrian teams;
-
Maintaining and expanding the current coaching programs, employing the world's most qualified and experienced coaches with the reputations and leadership skills to inspire our athletes to reach their fullest potential;
-
Preserving and protecting the historic Gladstone, New Jersey Headquarters, archives and approved USOC multi-discipline training facility for current and future generations.
The dedication, determination and commitment of our athletes has positioned the United States among the world's most respected equestrian powers. To maintain this tradition of excellence, to be the best in the world, we must provide the resources that will allow our riders, drivers and vaulters to earn medals in international competition and maintain the preeminent position which has taken us so long to establish.
We hope you will give thoughtful consideration to how you can participate in this historic USET Foundation Campaign to Achieve Competitive Excellence. Help our athletes in their quest for success at the highest levels. Let's look forward to hearing our national anthem at Award Ceremonies from Aachen to Rio to Beijing and around the world!
